Meet our Management Team:
Eli Gage, Group Publisher & Founder
Eli Gage has more than 25 years of experience serving the Architecture/Engineering/Contractor and facilities management communities. As president and founder of Emlen Media Inc., he is directly involved with virtually all of the company’s departments, providing expertise in sales, marketing, web site development and information technology for print and electronic content delivery. Eli is the visionary behind the push to a Publishing 3.0 platform at Emlen Media, using SAAS, cloud computing and web-based software for managing and administrating state-of-the-art publishing models.
Prior to founding Emlen Media Inc. in 1994, Eli was the national sales manager of Klober Plastic Inc., where he was responsible for managing all aspects of the American-based subsidiary of Klober GMBH, a commercial plastics manufacturing company. Prior to that he was a sales engineer for Hoke Controls Inc., supplying and specifying high-pressure gas delivery products to the semiconductor, pharmaceutical and petro-chemical fields.
Eli serves as a board member of the Phoenix-based Durrant Foundation, targeting university students in need of financial assistance for studies in the areas of architecture and engineering. He is a frequent speaker in the specialty niche of prison, school and healthcare construction. He studied journalism and marketing at the University of Colorado.
Larry Howe, Associate Publisher
Larry Howe has more than 25 years of experience in business-to-business media, marketing and communications. As associate publisher of Emlen Media Inc., Larry is responsible for developing integrated communications programs for marketers in the prison, school and healthcare construction markets. He specializes in creating marketing-communications programs designed to help advertisers reach their full potential for market recognition.
Prior to joining Emlen Media Inc., Larry was vice president and group publisher for Putman Media, where he was responsible for developing and implementing reorganization plans and directing ongoing operations of the business-to-business media company’s largest business unit. Prior to that, he held sales and management positions with national business-to-business media companies Hanley Wood and Delta Communications.
Diana Howe, Associate Publisher
Diana Howe has more than 15 years of experience in business-to-business media, marketing and communications. As associate publisher of Emlen Media Inc., Diana is responsible for developing integrated communications programs for marketers in the prison, school and healthcare construction markets
Prior to joining Emlen Media Inc., Diana was director of client services at SMG Media, where she was responsible for developing and implementing integrated print and e-media programs for the directory media company’s largest clients. Prior to that, she held media director positions at Chicago advertising agencies John Iltis & Associates, and Cohen & Greenbaum Advertising.
Ahavah Revis, Managing Editor
Ahavah (Hava) Revis returned to Emlen Media in the spring of 2011 as managing editor. She initially joined the company in 1998 to launch School Construction News. In 2006, Hava was responsible for the premier issue of Green Building News. She graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts in literature with a concentration in pre- and early modern studies.
Gaby Neal, Art Director
Gaby Neal is art director of Emlen Media and oversees all aspects of the production process for each of the company’s titles, from layout and design to print-ready files. Gaby is also responsible for designing all marketing collateral, media kits and digital magazines.
Prior to joining Emlen, Gaby executed design and production needs for several music industry publications, including Gavin (United Business Media), Sands Reports and Buzz Magazine. At Illumina Design, she worked with Wilson Sports, Rolux Food Systems and National Holistic Institute, among other clients. A native of Germany, Gaby began her career in drafting and graphic design before moving to the United States. She holds degrees from West Germany and the University of California Berkeley in Design.
Louise Wainscott, Director of Operations
Louise Wainscott has more than 30 years of experience in business operational management. As director of operations at Emlen Media Inc., Louise is directly involved with all departments of the company. She performs complete trade show management for the numerous conferences and exhibitions that Emlen attends, ensuring ongoing client relations.
Louise is responsible for managing Emlen’s progressive profiling services and maintains the company’s electronic lead-delivery system. She also oversees readership management for more than 120,000 subscribers, who receive more than 50 electronic and print deliveries a year across all titles. Louise is instrumental in streamlining all departmental processes and procedures, applying the most innovative and effective programs and systems available for maximized publishing efficiency.
